news image

It was January 30 and outside it was winter, but inside the K of C Hall the Kiwanis Club's Kabin Fever was warm and bubling with fun for those who had bought tickets.  There were all types of fishing, hunting and house decorating pieces that the folks inside had an opportunity to win or bid on at auction.  The doors opened at 5pm and an excellent prime rib dinner was served at 6:30.

There were door prizes and many other items including several 50/50 raffles.  The auctioner took the stage after dinner and had some spirited bidding on the many items that were there for bid.

It was a great evening for young and old alike.  All the money raised goes to help the Kiwanis club...

A Christmas Party for Special Adults is always the high point for many Kiwanis Club members each year.  This year was no exception.  This year our guest were greated by club members many dressed spcial for this day, along with the music donated by Charlie Reager.

The guests are served a great lunch prepared by the staff of the Sand Road Senior Center and served by the club members and their spouses.

After their meal the sound of jingle bells were heard and the excited crowd was not disappointed as the Joly Old Man himself appeared.  Santa Claus was there to listen to each Special Adults Christmas Wish List and give them a present from his large bag of gifts.
